Seleksi O2SN Renang Tingkat Kabupaten Karimun sebagai Upaya Pembinaan dan Pencarian Bakat Atlet Pelajar
Abstract
The National Student Sports Olympiad (O2SN) is a strategic program for student sports development, implemented in stages from the regional to the national level. This community service activity aims to support the implementation of the Karimun Regency Swimming O2SN Selection while providing coaching services, ability evaluation, and identification of potential athletes who can represent the region at the provincial level. The activity was carried out through coordination with the Education Office, preparation of competition equipment, selection implementation, and evaluation of competition results. A total of 20 elementary school students from various sub-districts in Karimun Regency participated in this activity. The implementation results showed that the selection process was orderly, objective, and was able to produce the best athletes based on the times achieved in each event. In addition to being a competitive arena, this activity also provided competition experience for participants and served as a means of mapping the swimming abilities of students in Karimun Regency. This activity demonstrated that the implementation of a planned selection process involving various parties can be an effective first step in developing high-achieving sports at the student level.
