ANALISIS FONOLOGI GENERATIF PREFIKS /BӘЯ-/ DAN SUFIKS /-I/ DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KATA KERJA TURUNAN PADA BAHASA SERAWAI

Abstract

This research discusses the formation of derivative verbs in Serawai through the prefix / bәЯ- / and suffix / -i / using generative phonological analysis. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. In this study using one key informant and three additional informants. The technique used in this research is the see-through-talk, note-taking, and record technique in which the author himself is the key instrument. In this study, the basic representations (RD), derivative representations (RT), derivation rules, and morphological events of Serawai language verb formation using prefix / bәЯ- / and suffix / -i / are described in this study. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the prefix RD was / bәЯ- /. The prefix RT / bәЯ- / is / b- / and / bә- /. The rule of derivation from RD to RT in the prefix / bәЯ- / is found to be two rules and in the suffix / -i / there are also two rules. In the process of descending from RD to RT, there were several morphological events, namely vowel fusion, consonant insertion, consonant insertion, and vowel induction.
